Darrell's Diner at 2536 Burnsed Boulevard #210, The Villages, Florida.

We arrived at Darrell's at 1:15PM on April 1. There were two other couples in the restaurant. I ordered a waffle and a side of bacon along with a glass of water with lemon. My husband ordered a waffle and a side of corned beef hash along with a diet coke. Our waiter was Jason and he was very nice and very attentive. The food was extremely disappointing. Waffles were flat and appeared to have been reheated. Syrup came in a plastic unmarked bottle. Bacon looked like it had been sitting there awhile also. The corned beef looked ok. When we got the bill, we saw we were charged $5.25 for the side of corned beef. I asked the waited if there was a mistake and he said "no". Our bill came to almost $22. Excessive for what we got and the quality of food. We will not be coming back. It appeared everyone was in a hurry to get the place closed and we got leftovers. Closing time was 3pm and we were back in our car at 1:59pm. Disappointing. Another couple in the restaurant complained that their food was cold. They had the special of chipped beef on texas toast. Over priced and poor quality. The waiter did apologize.
